This granola is seriously so easy. Why not make your own. It will last a couple weeks, if it lasts that long 😉.
Ingredients:
3 cups old fashioned oats
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup of nuts (honey roasted, almonds, cashews, pecan etc.)
1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
1/2 cup oil ( vegetable, canola, olive)
Optional:
Chocolate chips
Rasins, dried cranberries or other fruit
- Preheat the oven to 300 degrees. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
- Put the oats, salt, cinnamon, and nuts in a medium size bowl and mix. Add in the honey and oil. Mix everything together. Spread onto the sheet pan and press the granola down.
- Put into the oven, after 15 minutes take the granola out and mix it up a little. Put it back in the oven and cook another 15 minutes it will have a golden color when done. Do not over cook the oats. Let it cool and it will harden. After cooled if adding in rasins or chocolate now is the time. Enjoy!
- Store in a air free container for about 2 weeks.
***My granola has Chai seeds 1/4 cup. I put them in mine for extra fiber. They are small seeds, completely up to you. I know not many people like small seeds. Just in case anyone noticed in the picture, those are them.
