The Best Homemade Granola!

This granola is seriously so easy. Why not make your own. It will last a couple weeks, if it lasts that long 😉.

Ingredients:

3 cups old fashioned oats

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1 cup of nuts (honey roasted, almonds, cashews, pecan etc.)

1/2 cup honey or maple syrup

1/2 cup oil ( vegetable, canola, olive)

Optional:

Chocolate chips

Rasins, dried cranberries or other fruit

  1. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
  2. Put the oats, salt, cinnamon, and nuts in a medium size bowl and mix. Add in the honey and oil. Mix everything together. Spread onto the sheet pan and press the granola down.
  3. Put into the oven, after 15 minutes take the granola out and mix it up a little. Put it back in the oven and cook another 15 minutes it will have a golden color when done. Do not over cook the oats. Let it cool and it will harden. After cooled if adding in rasins or chocolate now is the time. Enjoy!
  4. Store in a air free container for about 2 weeks.

***My granola has Chai seeds 1/4 cup. I put them in mine for extra fiber. They are small seeds, completely up to you. I know not many people like small seeds. Just in case anyone noticed in the picture, those are them.

Hi there! I've always had a passion for food. Ever since I was little. I was never a picky eater, but when I had kids I had to start altering the foods we ate. Being a mother of 3 has put me to the test. I've always enjoyed to cook. As you all know kids change everything. I started cooking all the time, trying different recipes and making them from scratch. My kids love my food and like to help out, thats all I can ask for. So now here I am trying to spread the love and passion with you.
