Ingredients:
1 Stick butter
1 1/2 cups light brown sugar, packed
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Caramel glaze:
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup confectioners sugar
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Spray or line a 8 × 4 in pan with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat. Warm until smooth, put into another bowl and let cool a little bit. About a few minutes.
- In a small bowl sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Then add the eggs and vanilla extract into the sugar mixture. Start to add the flour mixture just until incorporated.
- Pour into the pan and smooth it over. bake for about 20-25 minutes. Once done let cool for about an hour.
- Carmel sauce- combine sugar, cream and butter in a sauce pan over medium heat. Heat up until melted and smooth. Raise the heat to medium high and boil for a couple minutes. Remove from heat and add in the vanilla extract. Set aside and let cool. Sift the confectioner sugar in a bowl and then add the sugar to the sauce and mix together. Spread the glaze over the blondies and let the sauce set on the blondies about 1 hour, then slice up into squares.
