Yet again, another one of my favorites!! I know you probably hear me say that I love this or its my favorite. It’s just that I love food. You can’t go wrong with a hot sandwich with melted cheese.
Ingredients:
2 chicken breasts sliced thinly
4 pack French rolls
1/4- 1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1 bag of shredded mozzarella
1 onion sliced
1 sliced green pepper
***optional garlic butter for bread
6 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- Thinly slice the chicken breasts and put into a medium size bowl. Drizzle the oil over the chicken and mix.
- In a small bowl mix the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and garlic salt together. Sprinkle over the chicken a mix. Cover and put into the fridge. Marinade at least a half hour or up to 3 hours.
- If making the garlic butter, melt the butter and mix it with the garlic powder and garlic salt. Spread over the inside of the rolls set aside.
- In a sauté pan. Melt a tablespoon of butter or oil. At medium heat sauté the peppers and onion. Set aside when done about 10 minutes. In the same pan on medium heat cook the chicken breaking it up as it cooks. Cook about 10 minutes or until done. Mix the peppers and onion in. Separate into four piles add the cheese and let it melt.
- In another pan, while the cheese is melting. Lay the bread face down and cook to a golden brown color. Nice and crispy, scoop up a pile of meat and put into the sandwich. Finish the rest and Enjoy!!
