I love anything pasta. Pasta is one of those dishes I could never give up, please don’t ask me too! This dish is prepared with a creamy alfredo sauce. A lot of people I think can be intimated by making your own alfredo sauce . It really is not that hard. It might not be perfect the first time but I’ve made this sauce a lot and I’ve worked out the kinks for you.
Ingredients:
3 Tablespoons of butter
1 pint of heavy cream
1 1/2 cups fresh grated parmesean
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
Dash salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Freshly grate your parmesan cheese. This is really important, the store bought kind will not work out for the sauce.
- Start your pasta. Heat water to a boil, then salt the water and cook your pasta. It does not matter what kind, which ever you would like.
- Melt the butter in a medium pan on low medium heat. Then add the cream in and bring down to a simmer. Stir it so it doesn’t start to stick.
- Slowly add in the cheese and mix it until its all incorporated. Keep mixing. The cheese should melt fully in about 5 minutes. Add in the pepper and garlic powder.
- Drain your pasta. Then add pasta to the sauce, stir and enjoy!
