Delicious Lasagna!

Today I have family coming to town. So I decided to make Lasagna. Lasagna is easy to put together and so tasty. One of those dishes you can make ahead of time and pop in the oven for dinner, while still being able to entertain.

Ingredients:

9 Lasagna noodles

1 pound ground Italian Sausage

1 jar of marinara sauce or homemade

2 bags of shredded mozzarella

1 15 ounce ricotta cheese

1 egg

1 teaspoon fresh parsley

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

  1. If preparing homemade marinara ( link is down below), start the sauce first. Or have your favorite ready.
  2. Start a pot of boiling water, salt it, and cook the noodles until aldente.
  3. In a skillet cook your sausage until cooked through and crumbled.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, egg, parsley, salt and pepper. Then mix 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella into it.
  5. When the noodles are done rinse with cold water. Then mix the sauce and sausage together.
  6. Start your oven to 375 degrees. Put 1 cup of sauce on bottom of a 9×13 pan and spread out. Lay 3 noodles down, then half of ricotta mixture, and then half the sauce. Sprinkle 1 cup of mozzarella cheese on the sauce. Repeat. Top with last of the noodles, any sauce you have left and the remaining of the mozzarella. Cheese is split 3 ways.
  7. Cook uncovered until bubbly and golden. About 45 minutes. Enjoy!!

Hi there! I've always had a passion for food. Ever since I was little. I was never a picky eater, but when I had kids I had to start altering the foods we ate. Being a mother of 3 has put me to the test. I've always enjoyed to cook. As you all know kids change everything. I started cooking all the time, trying different recipes and making them from scratch. My kids love my food and like to help out, thats all I can ask for. So now here I am trying to spread the love and passion with you.
