Homemade White Gravy!

Very simple gravy to make. This gravy is great by itself but you can add other spices if you’d like. It goes great with mashed potatoes and chicken fried chicken.

Ingredients:

3 tablespoons butter

3 tablespoons all purpose flour

2 cups milk

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

  1. In a medium sauce pan, melt the butter on med/low heat. Add in the flour and whisk until all of the flour is mixed in. Cook for a few minutes still stirring. This cooks the flour flavor out.
  2. Very slowly start to mix the milk in. Stirring constantly while adding milk in slowly. Salt and pepper your gravy and it will start to thicken. Usually 5-10 minutes, stir occasionally so it doesn’t stick to the bottom. Enjoy!

Hi there! I've always had a passion for food. Ever since I was little. I was never a picky eater, but when I had kids I had to start altering the foods we ate. Being a mother of 3 has put me to the test. I've always enjoyed to cook. As you all know kids change everything. I started cooking all the time, trying different recipes and making them from scratch. My kids love my food and like to help out, thats all I can ask for. So now here I am trying to spread the love and passion with you.
